area of sloped roof

How do you calculate the actual roof area of a sloped roof. I've tried many things with zone SEO upwards, downwards, with adding additional parameters such as bottom zone area but nothing works.

I think you should look at Interactive Schedules for this task. The Roof has various area options (Gross, Net) for surface areas.

The simplest way is the Element information palette

Although you can get the info from Element information palette, I want it to be on my layout with the other calculations. So I took your advice David and made a new scheme not based on zones but rather on roof and it works like a charm. I really don't know how I missed this one... Thank you both!
