deleting schedule info?

when placing windows and doors etc. each instance is numbered in sequence, but if i delete a window, say number 6, the next one i place will be out of sequence. ie: 3,4,5,7. is there some way to reset this. what i'm doing is creating a template, so i've been creating favourites, now if i start a new project with this pln as a template the first window i place will be #12 and the first section will be #5. if i save this pln as a template will it erase all the history?

Under Document Menu -> Chedules and Lists -> Element ID Manager.

You will have to select the windows in the order you want to renumber if I remember correctly.

That's great, thank you. I couldn't figure out why the detail was there in 3D but not in plan.

You're welcome although I think you wrote that in the wrong thread, Bob.
