License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Yes, as 3DS. Though they will be dumb objects, non editable. You need to Download the 3DSIn pluging for AC which you can find under the help menu.

IFC is also an option. There's some samples and examples on my blog, http://geometrygym.blogspot.com

I'm happy to assist and advise if you wish to try.

how can i export ifc from rhino to archicad. Where is the plugin?

thank you!

archicad unfortunately is ages behind the competition!!! data exchange file formats are so lacking and make the cooperation with other software almost impossile!!!

Archicad can import DWG, DXF, 3DS, IFC.

Rhino can export in DWG, DXF, 3DS, OBJ.

These have been the standard exchange formats for the last 20 years.

What is AC missing?

Installation instructions for the Geometry Gym Grasshopper and Rhino plugins to exchange IFC are here:

I've been testing this more closely with exporting a model to AC and for some reason we have had to use R12 to import and then save the model to use in release 14. The file opens fine in viewers and tekla, I'll be posting a sample of it to the forum shortly.

Cheers,

Jon
