I'm using an interactive schedule to create a plumbing schedule. Most of my plumbing objects are from the ac library and have parameters for cost, manufacturer, etc. and these are used on my schedule. A few symbols are from cadimage and don't have these parameters, but I can still fill in the fields on the schedule.
Does anyone know if this works OK or are am looking for trouble? Is there any way to add the parameters to the cadimage objects easily?
thanks!

but I can still fill in the fields on the schedule.if you can fill values in fields for Cadimage lib parts that means Cadimage parts have those parameters already defined but they are probably set to hidden.
In general if you want to edit 3rd party GDL you are asking for trouble mate.

There shouldn't be any problems with this. I wouldn't recommend messing around with 3rd part parts. Even if you get what you want the maintenance issues will be a problem.

Hello,
Just open one working AC library object + the Cadimage object and check if Cadimage's has the parameters in question. If they are missing no harm could be done by adding them because GDL code can't refer to something that not exists?
In addition these manufacturer, cost, etc. parameters are usually 'dummies' and just for scheludes -> no GDL code inside the object uses them.
Just to be sure make a copy of the Cadimage library and modify that. It's easily loaded / unloaded if errors occur.
If you need more help just post here or e-mail.
