Internal references to models in AC 22 Solo?

I have a site with several instances of the same building placed in it. Is it possible to create modules of hotlinks so that I can have one master model of each building type?

I know that this could be done if running AC Teamwork, but we have Solo, is there another way to do this?

Thanks

My current workaround is to create objects from the master model of each house type and then use these on the site, amending the 2d view to show the floor plan desired. However, it would be nice to have a better workaround that displayed the 2d as if the object were being cut at that height.

If your objects are set to show on relevant stories, does it cut? What height is "that height"?

Is each building modelled in its own file (I am guessing not from your description)?
If so (which is my preferred way of working) you can just hotlink the building PLN into the site file.

If you have modelled all the buildings in the site file, then select what you want and save selection as a hotlink.
Then you just place the hotlinks as desired.

I don't think there is any difference to using hotlinks in teamwork except that in a 'solo' file you don't have to worry about the teamwork permissions.

Barry, they are using SOLO, so they do not have access to the hotlink feature.
Solo licenses for Solo ARCHICAD versions are available in the UK, USA, Brasilia, South Korea, Hong Kong and in Japan. Solo version has the exact same functionality as the Full version except it doesn't include TeamWork, Cinema 4D rendering engine and Hotlink/X-ref capabilities.

Ah Solo as in the cut down version of the software and not a stand alone file.
I was confused by the mention of teamwork which implied the full version.

So if it is the Solo software then forget my suggestion, sorry.

Pretty sure you can get it working with objects. I remember using them before they introduced the ability to have multistory hotlinks...
