truss maker

I've just tried Trussmaker for the first time. I'd like to create plumb cut rafter tails and trim off some unwanted parts of a truss. Besides the Edit Truss commands there any way to notch or otherwise alter a truss?
The trusses that that Trussmaker creates seems to have some random, uneditable lines at the intersection of the truss' members when viewed in a section/elevation window. Is there any way to clean these lines up?
Is there an alternative way to create fully editable good looking trusses?
Thank you,
John

You could try using the Solid Element Operations to notch your trusses.

AFAIK TrussMaker is one of the most versatile options for creating custom truss structures. Do you have a screenshot to illustrate the problems that you are having?

David,
The problem that I was having was due to slightly skewed geometry in the layout lines for the truss (see attached image). Once I redrew the lines with more precise intersections and geometry the resulting truss was cleaner. There is still an artifact line left over from the intersection of the truss members. It would be great if these didn't show up but I'll live with it for the moment.
I couldn't get the Solid Elements Operations to work but I'll practice on some other objects to make sure that I know how it works. Do you know of a tutorial for Solid Elements Operations?
Thanks,
John
