ArchiCAD rendering

is this software can do decent renderng?
LW comes with it?

Also, Can I export to LightWave for better render?

ArchiCAD comes with a few rendering engines:

A default (old) one that is now mainly in use for compatibility and for vectorial hidden-line renderings.

A newer Sketch engine, for more conceptual look. Can be slow but gives some nice results.

A very new LightWorks engine, which enables raytracing and procedural materials (but no radiosity, unfortunately).

You can export ArchiCAD documents to several other formats:
- direct conversion to Artlantis
- indirect (through OBJ, 3DS or VRML files) to external animation/rendering software, such as Lightwave, 3ds max and others. Please do a search in the Visualisation forum on this site, since there have been many discussions allready...
