Decoupling section marker head with sections lateral extend

Is it possible to "decouple" the section marker head on plan from the actual section lateral extend?

Not possible with the standard markers.

But they are GDL, too.
So yes, in theory that is possible. In fact I'm working on one.

It can be done, I have the one that Masterscript http://www.masterscript.nl/epages/78066077.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=Categories) used to sell and it still works but the only way to do it using standard OOTB markers is to place extra linked ones.
