Annotations disappear after deleting fill

Hi!

im having a weird behaviour that I cant seem to wrap my head around:

Im trying to delete a simple "fill" from a detail drawing. After i do so, it is deleting all my annotations. I tried to see if it was a group, it is not. i cant figure out why.

Hi are you working directly on the detail that you have created? Try to copy it to the right and delete the fill. As general rules you should never work directly on the detail created but it's better to work on a copy of it. In this way you can also rebuild your detail if you need and you don't lost any modifications.

Are the annotations actually labels associated to the fill?

Hi Barry!

They are Labels/Autotext features. How do i know if they are associated with the fill, and if so, how can i make them independent?

If you hover your mouse over the label to highlight it (not select it), the element it is associated to will highlight as well.

To un-associate a label, right click on it and choose 'Convert to independent label'.
