Copy paste text in lables and text boxes not working properly

Hello,

Does anyone know why I have trouble copying text from inside text boxes and labels? Its like half of the time Archicad refuses to copy text. I have no trouble copying and pasting any other thing in Archicad. For example copying label or text box itself works flawlessly. But when I want to open a text box and copy that text to another text box or a label or something. Half of the time it just does not work. I have to retype it a lot of the times. And it does nor matter if I do ctrl+c or I right click and select copy. Works the same.

And I do not have any similar issues in any other software or in windows itself. Just Archicad and only from inside different text boxes, labels etc. It is really annoying. Been like this for at least a year if not longer.

Unfortunately, this has been an issue for a while and has been reported and discussed in multiple threads in the past:

• Some users reported that Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V does not work, right-click copy and right-click paste does not work, but Ctrl+Shift+C, Ctrl+Shift+V does work for some reason.
• In the German thread, one user said the cause turned out to be a too large Embedded Library; they saved the Embedded Library to storage and added it as a Linked Library. This may have something to do with Master_GDL files in the Embedded Library as these are all copy-pasted and their content executed, which can take a long time, making it look like the paste operation is not happening. • Another user said they had a Remote Desktop Connection open while working in Archicad, which interfered with the copy-paste. Closing the connection while working in Archicad solved the issue.

Hey Laszlo,

Thanks for the info. I did not find those threads for some reason.

I will try those two first points.

I do not have Remote desktop running so that is not the issue.
