Creating a Label that Reports the Layer Name

Hi All, 

 

Has anyone worked out how to create a custom label that reports the layer name. I have some fills on a drawing that show the ownership of a site super imposed onto a 2d site plan. Each fill is on a different layer that has the Ownership Title reference. I would like to label each fill with the layer name 

 

Any assistance would be much appreciated

Just use the Autotext for that.

If that is no option use rrr = request("GLOB_LAYER", "", str_layer).

Do I simply enter what you have written into the autotext. Doesn't seem to work.

Why not using a Text/Autotext Label whith the layer info? Custom label seems overkill

I have a lot of fills so just want to click on the fill and tag the layer name. So dont mind setting it up if thats whats needed

Use the Text/Autotext label, then click on the marked button and select the appropriate entry:
