Custom auto text properties in label tool

Greetings, in the AC21 label tool with the auto text label selected I am unable to see the 'custom autotext properties' which are shown in the Graphisoft instructional video on the topic. I only see the 'built-in properties' in the autotext list. Please see screenshots from GS video and my labels dialog box. How do I set the software to also include the custom autotext properties? Thanks! Scott

The label should be associated to an element. And not using a static label - a static label won’t know which element you’d want information from.

Thank you James, it works somewhat. I am trying to add zone names to sections. All zones have a height of at least 7'. In some cases I am able to use the autotext feature within the label to return the zone name, however when I select some rooms in section which have 7' minimum tall zones, the custom properties are not available. Is there some setting I am missing whereby custom properties are available for some zones and not for others? Thank you for any advice. Scott

As I'm sure you know, Zones aren't visible in Section, and Zones in Plan can't use Labels - they only have the Zone Stamp.

However, you can check this workaround from 4dProof which might help:

The example shown in your link is what I am doing. The issue is that the AC label with the zone name custom property will work for some zones in section but not all. All the zones in plan are set to the same height. I do not know what is causing the labeling to work and others not to in the same section. Thank you.

I would check to make sure you don't have overlapping Zones in Floor Plan.

Also, are you using Properties and Classifications? Check Classification of the Zones, and which Classification is set to be available for the Property.

Thank you for the link James. Learnt something new today!

Scott, I think the label can be a bit volatile depending on what you are linking to. I thought I could use doors but they were inconsistent. I have now linked to objects located in the room and everything seems to be stable. If overlapping zones isn't the issue what are you labelling?
Apple iMac Intel i9 / macOS Sonoma / AC27UKI (most recent builds.. if they work)

No zones are overlapping as seen in the screenshot (all layers are on w/ show all renovation filter). All zones are the same Category with the exception of having different room names/numbers. So I believe the classification and properties should be the same. Using the text label technique with custom autotext for sections, only one zone can be labeled. When repeating the labeling technique for other zones, the custom properties autotext in unavailable in the drop down list.
