Hi, as in the snip below, i cant seem to add a grabrail to a door leaf (using a custom leaf made of morphs) without it scrunching down both leaf and rail into the set width of the door. The grab rail is a compliance item in NZ and would like to be able to add it to the model so it can be dimensioned in the door schedule.
Any hacks i can use?

The closest i've come is to add the rail as a part of a handle. The only draw back is that we get the rail on both sides, which i can live with for now. Separate inner and outer handle options would alleviate the issue.

I am not quite sure I follow what you mean.
Model the door leaf and grab rail as close as possible to it's actual size.
Save as a custom door leaf.
Use that custom door leaf instead of the standard one.
It should resize perfectly to fit your frame.
I must admit I have never tried one with a grab rail though, but it should be the same procedure.
Barry.

Ah, you mean the thickness of the door?
Yes, that will probably be resized to suit the door panel thickness as well.
Maybe try setting the panel thickness in the door frame settings to include the grab rail depth as well.

Thanks, yes, thickness (sorry). Tried that, a 178mm leaf in plan was unappealing! Also it positioned the leaf incorrectly in 3D - it didn't anchor it where the hinges are for some reason.
The wish below looks useful and I’ll add my support, but perhaps a grabrail being included in the door given it’s a compliance item in NZ, Aus and potentially also the UK warrants the addition.

Hello, if I understand your problem correctly this tutorial should help you. https://youtu.be/h7TeTbVjFQc?si=ks-fkL3HmIerGiTd You just need to create a custom door leaf with handle, and change the depth in 3d script parameter.

Pretty sure the US library allows for different handles inside and outside. Can't for the life of me understand why it's not implemented in the INT version.
Would be very handy to allow for a push plate on one side while still having a pull handle on the other.
