DIMENSION STRING

Where can i have dimension option for slanted lines? i've clicked on the attached [looked like it does for slanted/diagonal lines/objects] but it is constraint vertically or horizontally.

this is what i mean...the dimension string doesn't align with the 2 slanted lines??

Did you click on the angled button before placing the dimension? You can't change a dimension in this way after it is placed.

Yes... i selected the angled button, then select the 2 dashed lines and placed...and still get this horizontal string...

At some horizontal point on your 2 lines or the ends?

3 differing results depending where you click on your lines.
I'd also suggest spending a little time with the reference manual
