I have a project where two adjacent multistory buildings are almost identical, that would make perfect sense as two placed instances of the same module, but that need door and window numbers that are unique to each building.
The building design will continue evolving, and it makes little sense to keep updating two separate buildings.
How can I get the door and window markers within modules to automatically display a different door or window number prefix depending on which placed module instance is involved in plans, elevations and schedules?
A further complication is they (crazily) occupy different constriction and documentation phases, so need to switch on or off accordingly in views, depending on which phase I am showing. I am using design options as the nearest thing ArchiCAD seems to have to phasing control that does not require massive duplication of layers.

Do you use module id for something else?

Here is how to set the Master ID of the Hotlinked Module and the ID of Doors/Windows in the source file of the Hotlinked Module.

Thanks Laszlo - that got me quite excited for a moment, until I found that this option seems to be missing in CI Tools door and window markers (whole project uses CI Tools doors and windows)

Can you assign a Door/Window Marker from the Archicad default library to a CI Door/Window in the Dimension Marker panel?

Yes, it seems I can - thanks!
Just unfortunate that the marker style is not what I wanted to see. I prefer the CI tools minimal text-only one for clarity and appearance. Long door and window references with prefixes don't play nicely with circular marker styles
On this project, the issue has become academic due to some changes that are creeping in to one module instance but not the other, with more pending, and we have a client who likes to try out new ideas and make big changes when things are already well advanced in another direction - so the modules strategy is no longer looking like it will offer the efficiencies hoped for, sadly.

Another option is to draw your own Door/Window Marker using lines and text to have desired geometry/graphics/content, and save that as a custom Label. Then use that Label with the CI Doors/Windows.

Thanks. Also found what looks like a couple of relevant parameters in CI doors 'All Parameters' tab (that is not exposed as part of standard UI) that could do the trick. Have not played with it yet, but looks promising
