I need to produce a set of documents, and print them from PlotMaker 9. There is problem though. Fill applied to a roof (in story view), in AC9, doesn't display in elevation view, in PlotMaker9.
Ok, it may sound weird, but this roof is pitched (duh!), and therefore its fill should be seen in both story and elevation view.
Yet worse, the fill I created in AC9, isn't available in PM9. How come?
In PM9, fills are displayed in "keep original settings" mode. Hence, described issue shouldn't be affected by bitmap or vectorial hatching.

Yes, as previously described, no matter if I set bitmap or vectorial fill to be displayed, it won't turn up in elevation view.
And to emphasize, this particular fill isn't available among PM9 "book fill types". Does it matter? Or does PM9 import the actual fill from AC9. I'm perplexed.

Does AC9 have cover fills?
If so these cover fills will not show in elevation as far as I know.
You will need to add a materail to the roof surface and make sure this material has a fill pattern associated with it.
This material fill will show in elevation but not in plan.
The cover fill will show in plan but not elevation.
Am I on the right track or am I completely thinking the wrong thing here.
Barry.

I'm talking about the check box as in image below, from Section / Elevation Tool settings. (Image from AC10 but this setting is same in AC9)
You were right, there was a "vectorial 3D hatching" check box in fill options, and obviously it wasn't checked. Slightly missplaced in my opinion. I couldn't guess it could be related to elevation views. Now I know better.

Barry.
Actually, I worked late hours and messed up fills assigned to materials (cover fills) and finally got everything right.
To be honest, not quite right, since I have to figure out how to evenly distribute fill assigned to roof material.
In story (plan) view, cover fill is evenly distributed across the roof.
In elevation view, fill assigned to the roof material, isn't. Any idea how to adjust it?
For example, textures have an option where you can set origin and direction. How
