How to create or edit the new cities for project north

Roopa A

I need to place the project north by giving the latitude and longitude from google maps,

It is not taking that setting, why?

And I need to create new cities,  with latitude and longitude to be set, how to do that?

In help guide, they have shown that, we can create or edit the cities under Attribute manager, but it is not shown there,...

Please help me in this, I checked the youtube videos also, but of no use.

Archicad does not use pre-defined cities any more (from version 26, may have been 25 as well?) - that attribute is gone.

But you can still input your long/lat in the Location Settings.

The latitude and longitude will be shown from the google maps, but not the N,E like that.

And I tried to copy paste that it is not updating,

And how to check the altitude,?

Does it take north angle, according to the latitude and longitude we give?

How to check ,that  it has taken that settings only in the project, floor plan??

In google maps negative is south and west, positive is north and east (of GMT).

When you copy and paste it copies both figures which doesn't help.

But if you just Google the information you get what you want and you can copy & paste each figure.

You can also Google the altitude.

Ok, Thank you sir.

And Earlier it is showing the cities , so that we will know that,  we have selected this city for this project..

But now, if we paste the lat/lon, by checking from google maps, it will not show the city name in Archicad,

later if we forgot also how will know the city name.

We can save in the project info, but still if it shows the cities name for that project, it could be helpful.

It is no longer an attribute, so there is no way to store the default cities.

It is just simply a longitude and latitude that is input for each project.

And there is no way that Archicad could determine the city based on the longitude and latitude.

So the best we have is the project info as you mentioned, but it is not linked in any way to the longitude and latitude.
