I need to adjust the lengths of multiple grid lines simultaneously.
Typically, I would use the marquee tool for such tasks, but it seems ineffective for grid line adjustments.Given the number of grid lines involved, manually adjusting each one is not feasible. I am seeking a more efficient method or workaround to accomplish this task.
Your guidance on how to adjust the grid lines collectively would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance and support.
Operating system used: Windows 3001 INT

Hello @Funfun Yan , Thank you for your suggestion. Could you please provide a link to the plugin? Additionally, I would like to know if the plugin is available in English, or if it is exclusively in Chinese.

Hey @Wlad222, I think we have enough proof here for you to make wish for this feature to be included in a future version of Archicad.
All the best.

I don't know any way to stretch the grid lines unless they are created using a grid system, see https://help.graphisoft.com/AC/27/INT/_AC27_Help/070_Documentation/070_Documentation-59.htm and https://help.graphisoft.com/AC/27/INT/_AC27_Help/140_UserInterfaceDialogBoxes/140_UserInterfaceDialo...
You can create a grid system, copy and move the individual grid lines in the plan view, select all the grid lines and then return to edit the grid system settings. If you edit the extension value (in the Grid Elements section), all the grid lines will extend accordingly.

@vlahtinen Thanks the reply, however the solution you mentioned about using a grid system to stretch grid lines involves a different approach that doesn't directly address the problem with the Marquee tool and GDL objects and their control points.

The plugin is exclusively in Chinese for now. And it is not free. So I think you have to do this task by each axis element.

Unable to reproduce the stretch today. The grid elements only move when the marquee is moved on any element's hotspot. Sorry all!

Dear @Wlad222,
Thanks for sharing your question in this forum, and for your mention.
Please let me clarify how the tagging of Graphisoft employees works within the Community. Our team members have a variety of roles and responsibilities, and while we’re here to support and engage with the community, our primary function is not to provide immediate answers to every tagged query.
The Graphisoft Community is designed as a collaborative space where users can help each other, share knowledge, and discuss various topics. On that note, the Community is not a place for technical support and dedicated assistance. While we do have colleagues who contribute by focusing on specific areas, sharing news and updates, we might not always be available to respond to every mention due to our other commitments. Tagging random Graphisoft employees in hopes of getting a faster answer can lead to an overwhelming number of requests and can hinder our ability to prioritize and manage our tasks effectively.
Regarding your question about extending multiple grid lines, as far as I'm concerned, @vlahtinen's solution is the best approach. If you want to address limitations on the Marquee tool and Objects, our wishlist is currently being updated, and you will soon have the opportunity to share your ideas directly with other users and the Graphisoft Product team - we currently work on this project and official news will be shared in the Insights blog in due time.
Thank you for understanding. We appreciate your use of this platform and active contribution!
Best regards,
Community Specialist | GRAPHISOFT SE

First, I want to apologize for tagging you earlier. I was just feeling really frustrated with the absence of such a basic function, and I let that get the better of me.
On a related note, I think it would be incredibly beneficial if Graphisoft could consider having more professionals actively participate in this forum. By doing so, we could ensure that fast help and solutions to complex questions are available to hundreds of users globally. This approach could also lighten the load on local support teams, allowing them to focus on more specialized inquiries while providing a platform where anyone, anywhere, can find the answers they need. Or at least for us who pay subscription.
Thank you for your understanding and for being part of this community. Looking forward to more productive discussions!

At present some of the moderators also serve as troubleshooters. The most active being @Barry Kelly. It would good if a few other very experienced users were specifically appointed as troubleshooters here to help out and to take the load off Barry too.
