In a pinch, need advice on best course of action

Hey all!
I am a first year architecture student, and at the moment I am working on a project that involves drawing a cabin, producing plans and sections, and some other things. I managed to produce a sketch model in Sketchup, and was hoping that converting it to Archicad or Autocad would be easy... It probably is easy, but since I am a beginner in both Autocad and Arch, I cant seem to get things where I want them. Most of all, I have a hard time editing measurments and details.

The things I need to produce for this project for this friday:
1 1:50 Floorplan incl surrounding environment to fit on an A3
2 1:50 Sections incl surrounding environment to fit on an A3
Sitational plan 1:1000
1:50 model

I have no trouble producing these things in a half-assed way (sketchup layout + photoshop and whatnot), but I want to learn to do it right straight away. With the time limit (yeah, I know, I will be better prepared next time 😉) I see two choices:

1. Do it the half-assed way. Be done, but feel like a cheater
2. Do it right. Be done and learn essential skills.

Is no 2 a realistic option, and if so, is there anyone that would be interested in spending some time answering some questions and giving som advice about modeling?
Any and all advice is welcome!
Thanks

Martin
