Initial View Placement in Layout Book

I'm working in AC 10.
Everytime I go to place a view into the layout book, the view is placed a long way off from where i intended to put it forcing me to scroll out far to find it and bring it back. Is this an origin problem or what?

Check the drawing anchor setting on your Drawing Tool. It's probably set to "Drawing Internal Anchor" instead of one of the 9-point justifications (lower left, upper middle, etc)

The internal origin option was off, but after turning it on, and then off again, the drawings were placing normally again. Thanks for the tip!

Somewhat related to this: I'm wondering how do you "pan" within a placed drawing in AC10? This was a feature in Plotmaker but I can't get it to work in AC10. Is there a toggle that I'm missing?

Cheers,
JB

Edit:
I just figured it out... it is a pet-palette thing. Sorry for the unecessary post!
