Label tool doesn't identify object

My label tool hasn't been working for the last couple of projects. Hypertext used to show the ID of whatever object I clicked it on, weather plan, elevation, etc. Any idea why it doesn't seem to recognize the object?

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Ventura 13.5.2

AC fan since v 7. Currently on AC 28.1.1 (4100) USA FULL, Apple Silicon,. 2022 Mac Studio, 32G ram. MacOS Sequoia 15.5
