Robert:
Do you mean the leader disappears, or it cannot be edited, or a different problem. A screen shot may help explain the issue.
You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

David, thanks for your response.
What I was trying to say was that when I utilize the label tool I can draw the leader and arrow but unable to add the text. I checked the label tool settings
with my other computer, where this function works properly, and they seem identical. Something changed without me adjusting settings, so I'm unable to tell you what happened. Just was wondering if there is a fix for this.
I have updated my signiture but incase it does not show in my response I'm running Archicad 12, windows7 os, intel dual core processor 3.1 ghz, and have 4gig's mem. Nivida Graphic card.

Robert:
Thanks for adding the signature.
I don't know the solution but here are a couple ideas to try:
1. Open the Label Tool Settings dialog box and go to the Text Label panel to see what text is here. You might be able to add your text here rather than in the Label. (This assumes that you are using an Independent Label, Text Type; if not then please post your Label Settings.)
2. Alt-click on a working label to transfer its settings to the Label Tool and see if that fixes the problem.
3. If you have not done so, turn on the On-Screen Display Option for Text Handles, seeing the Handles may give a clue to the text problem.
If none of these work, then it could be helpful to post some screen shots of the working vs non-working Labels, someone may then see the problem.

Just an update to my "label tool" problem. I have a work-around. The tool still doesn't work the same as in other files. ie having the text box appear after the leader is drawn. However if after completing the leader I can go back to the leader and click it several times I can get a text area to open. It's not normal but it works.....go figure!
THanks again for your help!
