Lable rotation problem

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hey there all!
I'm using archicad 20 and have come across a problem that i've spent a long time with now, I was wondering could anyone help...
I would really like to have labels orientated at 0,90,180 and 270 and in each orientation to have the possibility to have the pointer line come out from either side of the text so i can have labels on either side pointing inwards. At 0 and 90 it's possible if you tick "always readable" but at 180 if you drag the text box so that the pointer line switches sides the text box flips orientation back to 0. same happens with 270 it only accepts this orientation if the pointer line is coming out one side of the box...
Am I missing something here?!?

Thanks!

Hey badgerton,

I am afraid it is not possible using the Label tool. The labels are designed in a way that gives huge freedom and flexibility as to how someone prefers to use labels, but it is mainly focused on the workflow of having labels in a readable position.

However, if you are not afraid of some GDL coding, you can create your own label, that might be capable of just what you are looking for. If that's not your thing, there's an object called "Multileader Label 20". It is mainly for placing labels with multiple leaders, but you can of course use it with a single leader and rotate it in any direction. I have attached an example for you:

Have fun!
