Layout Book Sheet Glitch

The first page of a layout book shows what appears to be 3 sheets stacked whereas all other sheets appear as a single sheet. Then when sent to print this page won't print correctly. Is there any way to delete these hidden sheets appearing behind the first page? They are not selectable with the mouse and do not appear in the navigator.
