Hello Family,
I'm faced with a real challenge here. In the model space, my doors and windows are well visible but when I drag and place them on the layout, the doors and windows are not visible anymore. Have tried to change MVO and renovation filters but still no change at all. Just to narrow down the cause of this problem, I opened a new Archicad file with the default profile and created a wall, and then placed a door along it. I opened my layout and placed the drawing from modal space into my layouts and oops! same problem again. Now, what could be the cause? Am I missing a library here??? kindly help out. Have attached two files for refere; one of model space and another in layout.

Also, place the Views on Layouts (white ones in the Layout Book), not on Master Layouts (gray ones).

You should be creating a 'View' in the View Map from the 'View Point' you have created in the Project Map.
That View has settings that control the MVO, renovation filters, graphic overrides, layer combination, scale, etc.
If that View is set up correctly, then you place that View on the layout with the Drawing tool. or you can drag from the View from the View Map list onto the layout page (that does the same thing).
Because this view has all of the settings as you want them, it should appear correctly.
This allows you to have different Views with different settings on the same layout.
If you are dragging View Points from the Project Map, you will not have the same control.
Barry.

I think this was the mistake I did. it worked. In the Swahili language, we say ' Ahsante Sana' meaning 'Thank you so much'.
