Not sure what I am missing here!
My object is showing the correct sliding door - aluminum frame with glazing in the center.
But my model is not showing the aluminum frame.
Please help.

Check your Model View Option settings for the level of detail in 3D for doors and windows.
This affects the model but not the object preview for some reason.

Checked your MVO's? The stock AC28 changed the default representation for a whole bunch of options... Though your screenshot is from 27, maybe still...

the door object 27 is what available in my AC28 library; and my library is up-to-date as at now; unless there is something that I have yet to know about.

Ah, you are using the Monolithic Library instead of the new Library Packages. No clue how that works with the updated MVOs... it does look like the door is set to the Simplified MVO setting.

If you have the monolith (27) library loaded, you will see MVO options for "Archicad Library 27".
If you have the global (28) library packs loaded it won't mention a vertion number, but you will see the language version if you have multiple language packs loaded.
If you have monolith & global libraries loaded, you will see all of them.
Then you have to figure out what controls what.

Do the macros clash if you have both loaded?

No.
Although the global libraries are essentially the same objects and macros (there are some changes), they are saved with completely new GSIDs.
Which is one of the reasons why there is no migration from 27 to 28.
