Hi all

Attached is an elevation I have done with a kick out at the mid floor.

I not too sure what to call it. Is there a name/term for this detail or do I label it "kick out"
Not that it probably matters too much, but I kinda curious now.

I don't know what it's called in English, but here we use the Swedish word for skirt.

Take care though. To make this thing stand the test of time, you need to make it as durable as a roof, especially at the lower/outer edge.

BTW don't use EIFS since time has proven this to be a terrible wear point. Even standard stucco will stay wet under this condition.

Yes, at least with polystyrene insulation, we have huge mildew problems in this country...

There is an English term 'skirting' but you normally expect to find that closer to the ground. That house would be showing a lot of leg.

I would probably call it a 'flared belly band', but have no idea what the official architectural or construction term would be...
