OVERRIDE Door/Window Marker orientation??

Stress Co_

I've got a saved floor plan view, that has been rotated with "Set Orientation".
The rotation of the view causes the door & window markers to read "upside-down" (from the side anyway). Is there a setting to override the text's orientation? Looked and have not found.

Manual sez of marker settings:
"•Standard: Text is always parallel to the wall, and is automatically readable (that is, flipped if necessary after rotation of the view)."

The marker I'm using is:
"Builder Dimension Pro V1"

Hello,

The 'Builder Dimension 21' marker is a very simplified marker type, that is only designed to write out the sizes either across or parallel to the opening, with a fixed text orientation (so it doesn't have the "always readable" capability).

I would suggest you to use the 'Builder Dimension Label 21' Label instead of this obsolete Marker. This Label has more flexibility, and can also change it's direction based on the Orientation.

The BDL 21 doesn't have the option for 3050 instead of 3'-0" X 5'-0", Does it?

Nope

But you might try an expression as in:

TEXTJOIN ( "", TRUE, STR ( ROUNDDOWN ( {Property:General Parameters/Width} / 1 in / 12, 0 ), 0 ), "0", STR ( ROUNDDOWN ( {Property:General Parameters/Height} / 1 in / 12, 0 ), 0 ), "0" )
TEXTJOIN ( "", TRUE, STR ( ROUNDDOWN ( {Property:General Parameters/Width} / 1 in / 12, 0 ), 0 ), "0", STR ( ROUNDDOWN ( {Property:General Parameters/Height} / 1 in / 12, 0 ), 0 ), "0" )

The above only works for whole width & height dims. fractional number feet would require couple more intermediate expressions which I'll leave to someone else?
