PDF publishing - why doesn't respect marque selection?

Hi. Can somebody please explain me is it possible (and if so - how?) to publish framed piece of plan to PDF format using publisher. I've tried many different settings but publisher doesn't respect marque selection neither page format settings. I know similar questions been posted here but I just cannot find straight answer. Thanks in advance.

Quite simply, the Marquee is not part of the View definition.

Views (and Publisher) only include:
  • Layer Settings
    Dimension Settings
    Display Options
    Scale
    3D rendering settings
Optional Zoomed Area (for view, not for export)
The only way I know of to crop a plan for export involved putting it in Plotmaker then exporting it.

Can you print to PDF instead of publishing, then marquee should be recognised?

yep - but it's one off printing only though . . .

would be good if the multi-story marquee was also detected in the print dialogue too - great for printing an entire cropped stair core with one click!
