PLT file displays as hairlines

I have created a PLT file from an AC10 layout using settings that (apparently) worked for PM9. I have the "Hairlines" checkbox UNchecked, and yet when I import the PLT file into an empty layout to check it the lines are all hairline.

Does anybody have a reason / solution for this please.

(Printing bureau needs PLT files, they can't print my PDF's for some reason, others can - another weirdity )
