Pen set in layout

Hello,

 

Since I started using Archicad 28, I’ve been experiencing an issue with layouts. The pen set sometimes changes when I switch between a view and a layout, applying the pen set from the last view.

It doesn’t happen every time, but it is quite annoying, and it’s the first time it has happened (since version 28). I’ve been working with Archicad since version 20.

 

Has anyone else experienced the same problem? I searched the forum but didn’t find any related topics.

yes, I have reported this bug as well. both pen set and layer combination can randomly adopt a different setting for SOME layouts, or even just some elements on a specific layout (titles sometimes publish with some blue text some black text).

the reality is, this is a UI development issue. There is no reason layout book layer combo and pen set should be managed in the layer and pen managers. For views, you have to go to view settings to update a pen set. For drawings, you have to open the drawing settings. But for an entire layout book, you just have to edit a layer combo or click on the quick layers to mess up the entire layout book. I think this flighty view setting management system is at the core of why it changes so randomly; it is just too easy to change, even on it's own without prompt.

I agree. There should be a definition window assigned to layouts, like in views, so it can’t be changed accidentally.

 

In any case, with this same interface I hadn’t had any issues until now, which is what I don’t understand. Before, you could set a layer combination and a pen set, and they wouldn’t change on their own unless you modified them manually. That’s what I find so frustrating.

 

I waited to see if it would be fixed in an update, but I’m starting to feel like no one is addressing it.
