Plotmaker line/font quality

Hello all -

We are experienced archicad/plotmaker users and are overall pretty satisfied with the whole thing. One concern: no matter how we toy with out pen weights and font settings, our final plots always are slightly fuzzy compared to those produced in an autocadd environment (we know; b/c this is what we used to use and can see the clarity in our consultants drawings).

Is this an inherent problem to the drivers in plotmaker or is it unique to our plotters and drivers here in the office? We're using Mac G5s and HP Design Jet plotters.

Thanks

Dumb question:
In Plotmaker, are you using "Print" or "Plot"?

I've always thought "Print" was a lot fuzzier.

Tom,

We're using "plot" to send the file to the plotter.

I don't mean to sound like this is a major problem - the drawings still look good and we've been using this system for years. Still, when you compare it to the clarity that is achieved with autocad plot files, there is a noticable difference...

I'm guessing you haven't experienced the same problem?
