I see you are a student. Your questions here are so basic.
Are you taking a class in Archicad?
What kind of training are you getting?
Have you gone through the tuturials?
Have you read the manual(s) in the help menu?

You should save a separate view for each scale you want to print.
For example if you want to print a floor plan at 1:50 and also 1:10,
then set up separate views. With each view will be saved other settings such as Layer Combination, Model View Option, dimension profile/set, etc.
When you work in each view you will be seeing it as it will be printed.
With Archicad open, in the Help Menu>go to Archicad Help.
On the Contents tab:
Interaction : Navigation : The Navigator Palette : Setting up a View
Good for you using Archicad. May it start a new trend. Where in England are you? Perhaps there is someone nearby who would be willing to spend a couple hours with you. That kind of one on one help will be invaluable.
