Shadow Display in Elevation

Archicad (27) noob here. Also Archicad forum noob...because I'm sure someone else has posted this topic but I can't find it

At one point in time, my elevations printed with a shadow like in the first photo.

Now I seem only able to print elevations with shadows displaying as an unsightly hatch (see second photo).

Could someone please clarify what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks @Barry Kelly & @Lingwisyer - fortunately I was able to find an old version of the file that I'd saved off

The settings being used to achieve the desired shadow appearance as seen in my original post were:

Check in the elevation settings to see what fill/colours you have for the shadow.

I am guessing that you are using a 3rd party PDF printer given have the shadow fill has printed. Try using the inbuilt Publisher.
