DEF-3928 - This problem persists! I have no hope that this will be resolved! Archicad24 - 2022! really!?

bump
Still a constantly-occurring problem. Anything this consistent in a program would be labelled a "feature."

What Archicad version and build are you using?
I just tried in 25 build 6000 and 26 build 4019.
I copied some text, zoomed in out, panned and then pasted into another text block, and it was exactly the same size.
Barry.

Hi Barry, sorry to bump two posts. (again)
26.3001 US, Windows 10
Below is my copy / pasted reply -- at the same font size! 😜 -- to another thread on this topic:
Just tested again, as now i'm not sure i'm actually experiencing the same bug. Zoom/pan isn't necessary to cause it on my end. I pasted text in the same text box, after hitting enter, and it's 0.19 Pt larger. After pasting, i hit enter and continued to type: new text is also 0.19 Pt larger. That text, copy/pasted, (line 4) remained at 6.19 Pt.
(Could be related to leading / line spacing? Not for me to figure out until Graphisoft starts paying me~)
Tried again; this time at a different original size. (7.00 Pt) This time the text was pasted 0.08 Pt smaller. After hitting enter, new text on the next line was back to 7.00 Pt. The third line of text copy / pasted was 0.08 Pt smaller again.

Hi,
I also want to bump this and say we are still experiencing this issue as well.
Currently using Archicad 26 5002 SWE FULL, Windows 10 Pro.
Copying a text without zooming changed the font size slightly on a layout. It does not happen every time we copy, it almost seems random...
Not sure if it matters but we are using millimeter "SWE standard" for dimensions and coordinates and therefore also for setting size for fonts.
Cheers!

Still present AC26 7004 NZ FULL
A painful bug!
To edit my post to contain more information than emotion.... even when moving text inside a textbox with highlight&drag the font size changes... ctrlC ctrlV not even required to trigger the change in font size.

I have just noticed that this bug has returned in AC27 5060. I remember it from a few versions/years back.
Copy text from one note, zoom out, and paste text into another note. Text has changed size.
It was really annoying last time around too. Got fixed at one stage, im sure.

Just installed the latest update to AC27 6000, and the text size is still changing when copied and pasted.
2.5mm text becomes 2.44mm when pasted 10mm becomes 10.03mm when pasted. No zooming required to make this happen.

It's still a problem in AC28 without zooming!!!
Just copy text in a textbox and paste it right away. Literally control-c followed by control-v without any input in-between. Different sized font.
Graphisoft's growth model of generating flashy sounding new features to pull in new users out prioritises a quality control structure where functions written by junior coders can't just be pushed through without any regard for the consequences or how much extra admin(delays&stress) they bring to the architect or drafty. The god awful features we currently have need to be honed, and not by junior-ass software engineers. There needs to be a robust line of communication between users and the higher ups (who AFAICT are running the show blind) to prevent new features from slowing down the process. In other words, treat clicks of the mouse as an expensive currency - the less spent the better. And im not talking about a line of communication between the higher ups and an architect with a light workload who only does a couple residential houses per year; needs to be the architect or entity that's at their limit and can see where the software falls short. Im at the point where any new feature needs to be tested by someone experiencing stress to see if it stacks up to what the industry needs, or would be happy if the software engineers asks themselves if a process is a little too click heavy and cumbersome for the end user.
Operating these damn archicad menus is like operating the multitude of of dumb levers and switches of the turning machine, except when you actually manage to crack the engima code of whatever was on the mind of the junior software engineer at the time of writing a "feature", the software decides to change font settings on its own for funsies.
Honest to god im ready to leave the profession and start selling feet pics because of this god forsaken software, move to revit, or fund a pirate team to crack archicad because i'm not paying for this rubbish any longer. It's a shambles. What is going on? @Barry Kelly @lazlo @graphisoft
