What do brackets in Nav Bar tabs mean?

After searching the Help menu for about 20 minutes, I'm hoping that someone has the answer, since it is probably very simple.

Different views in the upper Nav Bar tabs sometimes have their names in brackets. Do these brackets mean something? Initially, it appears that items from the View Map do not, but that items from the Project Map do. Layout names appear in brackets, but I'm not sure why. What is this telling me?

Thanks, Laszlo. The questions regarding brackets in the Project Map vs. View Map were answered, but nothing about why the Layout Name should be in brackets, too. This was confusing to me, because there weren't any brackets in AC19 tabs, nor any explanation why this was changed.

I don't know if it should or should not be there in brackets, but it is.
When you see black icons, then you see the ID and Name of the item (Project Map item - Viewpoint, or Layout Book item - Layout) in brackets.

It seems the information in brackets is the source ID/Name allways. Layout can only really have source ID/Name, so there is no information to be displayed without brackets.
