change sizes via "... + 20"

hey
i have got multiple windows i have to resize about the same number, but they are all different in size

once i tried to resize them like you can do in illustrator with just adding the wanted operation (+-/*) and the wanted number like "120+20" (120=origin value, +20 additional dimensions) and it did work!!!

now i am trying to redo this but it wont work at all

when typing "-" it will automatically shrink to the smallest possible size i think (28cm) and when adding just a "+" to the dimension bar it will nearly double the size for each time adding + (wont show up in the bar, immediately disappears and show increased number)

so, what did i change to loose that nice function...i just need it now 😧

i hope you can help me, thank you in advance,

Hello,

Very interesting
How do you do exactly that?

As with most (all?) numeric fields, you can add or subtract a value by typing 20+ or 20- , with the + or - after the value that you want to add or subtract.
But I find if I have different size windows selected, the they will all change to the same size as the one showing in the info box, +/- the extra value.

Maybe it is a MAC issue - I am on windows.
With the 3 windows selected that you show in your image, if I was to type 10+ in the width (where it is showing 50, then all of the windows will become 60 wide.

Interesting - it doesn't seem to work in the settings dialogue.
But in the info box if you select the width, then type 10+ it will add to the width.

It is.
That is why I said ...

In the back of my mind I knew there was somewhere that it didn't work.

I use this technique a lot in the tracker to move or stretch an element, but rarely for object sizes.
