door surfaces not working

no mater what I do I cannot change the surfaces on this interior wood door. for instance you see in the screenshot it should be all red. any ideas?

Dave:

A couple possibilities:
1. It is being override by a Graphic Override (GO).
2. In the Door Settings, the surfaces are being overridden. Your dialog box is missing the Model panel, so go to Work Environment > Tool Schemes > Tool Settings Dialog Boxes > Door Tool and make the Model panel visible, then check the Door Settings to see if the surfaces are being overridden.
