how to get better results in section's Line weight

mi_jan

My sections have Marked Distant Area on, but I need to further more edit some lines to get better results in my presentation drawings.

I have been exploding into current view and manually editing the lines I want but often find errors or have to make some minor changes in the design.

The work around I found that is working for me is:
1. I Find and select the edited Lines and copy them.
2. Explode into current view edited section
3. Paste edited Lines on top of the drawing [i mostly leave the original lighter LW from the edited section behind the edited thicker LW]

Is this the way I should be doing it or is there a legit method?

[I attached an image of the typical line changes I do]

Jan,

There is a trick to archive this without exploding lines. You will need 2 aligned sections (one will be hidden in Floor Plan).

First section will have:
- 1. Elevation with Pens from the Objects (LW 01)
- 2. Distant area with First Pen Set Override (LW 02)
- 3. This section will end at the point were the other section Starts so it is limited horizontally.

Second Section:
- A. Place were First Elevation ends.
- B. Override Pens for first area (LW 03)
- C. Set Distant area and new Pen Override (LW 04)

----
In your layout place Section 01 in front of Section 02 and they will remain live.
