is there a way to print out two layout sheets on one large roll (to save time and paper)

using a plotter that only prints on a 36" roll
need 2 half size drawings to print out side by side

is there a way to do this in ArchiCAD
(the only other way i can think of is to create 2 .pdf's and arrange them in photoshop... if there is a shorter way please let me know)

will be having to produce several sets on a whim... and i would be more than happy if i can figure this out now

I don't know of any way from inside Archicad. I think some plotters can do it internally, though.

Depends what version of ArchiCAD you are using (you may think about including your specs in your signature). Multi-page layouts disappeared when PlotMaker did - ArchiCAD 10.

Nothing to stop you from making a super-size-me master layout though. You could set a master to 100' x 36" if you wanted to. Then you could place thousands of drawings and print it all in one go.

I wouldn't recommend it though!

It looks like it might be able to be done in Acrobat (on mac at least). In the print dialogue under layout there is an option to print multiple pages per sheet... I could be wrong...

You can make the layout size as needed in AC, and place borders for 2 sheets on it, or 4 sheets.. so you are basically making 2 sheets side by side and cutting that print in half (right?). In AC each layout would have 2 sheets.

I print C an D sheets off the same 24" roll (turn the drawing 90 for the size C sheet.. see screen shot). Your machine want except 24" wide rolls? There is no reason you can't have 2 versions of print files on one pln if needed, just name them accordingly and organize them via publisher. If you want size C sheets.. 18"x24" you can have each AC layout 36"x24" and place 2 intended sheets on it.

We use a program called fineprint to do what I think you are trying accomplish, we can print up to 8 layouts on the same page. see this topic
