story marker in legend?

I am trying to create a legend with the various symbols for a project on a cover sheet.

I have created a story called "reference symbols" lower than my foundation where I was putting unlinked markers.

I have a view of that saved which can go on the drawing layout.

This seems to work great for a lot of objects & markers. But I cannot figure how to show my story elevation markers (presumably because parametrically they don't show in plan).

How do others do this?

[Or does no one do this for reasons?]
