How to amend on the 2D Door Opening Symbol

Hi All, I have two questions that needed your guidance and assistance.

Question 1: I have imported a RFA file (a door) into Archicad as a GDL Object. The parameters are all transferrable from revit to archicad which I can view the parameters under the custom settings of Archicad. The door model looks good in elevation and 3D (Image 1). However, I have an issue where the 2D View of this door does not show the opening lines, which it only shows a rectangular shape (Image 2). I believe that the amendment of this 2D View with the door opening lines (Image 3) may need some GDL scripting, does anyone know how to do this? This is very important for me as I need to convert multiples doors from RFA to Archicad to become a library which needed for my project.

Question 2: To show the handle on plan, under floor plan display, I have changed to projected with overhead and the handle has been shown in Plan view. However, the door is closed (Image 4). How can I make the door opening while also showing the handle, as shown in Image 5?

Kindly find the attached file. Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Sharon Cho.

Hi sharoncho,

You can get started with GDL scripting here: https://gdl.graphisoft.com/gdl-basics

Projected floor plan display projects the 3D model to 2D, so the 3D opening angle parameter has to be set to open the door.
