Yes if you want to easily add and manage BIM data or schedule the individual parts within the object. It can be done, but there is a limit to the number of Parameters in a GDL object.
This is a situation where you would use Hotlinks (or instancing if we had it).

Are you saying that the value is reflected in the schedule, such as when calculating the area or volume of a wall or tile?

When you say 'save bathroom as an object', do you mean as a GDL object or do you really mean as a hotlink module.
As a module, you will still be able to schedule the individual components.
As an object it will just be '1 x bathroom' - it won't have individual elements.
Unless you script the quantity of the elemnts into the object and save the values as parameters that you can then add to your schedule.
I would not consider doing this.
Barry.

Then, if you make adhesive mortar and tile with cwall, can't you get the volume of each from the schedule?

Not if you save it as a .gsm. As far as AC is concerned, once you save elements A + B + C as a gsm, they cease to be elements A, B and C and become a singular element, D.
Unless you script the quantity of the elemnts into the object and save the values as parameters that you can then add to your schedule.
This will not work is many cases as you cannot tabulate the results. ie. for two bathrooms it will read "2x Two Taps" rather than "4x Taps"
