I need to port my Project from PC to MAC
I need a proper setup.
What do I need to copy to the
MAC. Libraries or any thing else
Folders , files or both
Operating system used: Windows

So long as you have installed the correct OS version of the software on each machine, there is nothing else you need to do.
Files and libraries are cross platform.
Just open them and work away.
Maybe the only problem you will have is that the file paths may be different, so you may need to re-link libraries, hotlink modules or other attached files.

Don't forget Fonts. That plus the mentioned paths are the main (but only) pain points you have to deal with.
Friday
No fonts only models like a toilet from one 29 project to another

NOT really. I open a file in a new version and and have a lot of dots where any object like a door is.
I do this as I want to copy common items into a new project and have to start all over again

Migration between versions is something else than using a file on different operating systems – which was the topic of your post 😉 Barry is not psychic yet.
To give you a good answer you'd need to tell us more though please: What (old) file version are you opening on what (new) Archicad version?

SO FROM WHAT i SEE YOU CAN NOT COPY ANY ELEMENT OR OTHER PLN FILES OR COPIED ELEMENTS FROM ONE MODEL TO ANOTHER. i CAN DO THIS IN AN OLDER VERSION BUT NOT WORKING IN THIS VERSION 29
yesterday
If the source file was created in a version 27 or older you will have a problem with objects if you copy and paste to 28 or 29, unless you load the old monolith library and migration libraries.
Element such as walls, roofs, etc., will copy and paste just fine.
It is only objects you will have a problem with because as mentioned before the libraries in 28 and 29 use completely new objects that are not compatible with the old ones.
The old ones will not migrate to the new ones.
If you have old objects, you need to load the old libraries as well.
There are many post in these forums about the old and new libraries changing between versions 27 and 28.
It is recommended that you don't mix the old monolith libraries with the new library packs.
It will double up on the library objects themselves and also double up the Model View Option controls, one set for 27 and another to control 28/29.
I have even made a wish that Graphisoft creates an 'Obsolete' library for the old 27 library.
This would allow you to still see and use the old objects, but you could only ever place new 29 objects without having the double up of old and new library.
Obsolete objects is how they used to handle outdated objects in the past (and still do I believe) when they can not be migrated to current objects.

In my opinion, if you need to copy and paste from old files to 29, that is fine.
Just replace the missing objects with the new 29 objects and move on.
You will have no problem with these files moving forward (unless Graphisoft change the way the library works again).

I just tried this . Opened a project that was fine all 5 years. opened in current version and black dots everywhere, no doors, no toilets, no urinals, etc. I have to relink every one

The libraries changed a couple of years ago in version 28.
There is no migration of libraries 27 and older to 28 and newer.
They are completely new objects in 28+ and will not work with older files.
So if you have an old (say version 25 file) open that in 28 or 29, but do not load the new libraries.
Keep using the old 25 library.
Or you could load the 27 library and the migration libraries as well.
Do not try to use the new library packs for 28 or 29 unless it is a new file created from a template in 28 or 29.

An issue that I think Patrick has complained about a few times here, about the Libpack introduction providing very little benefit to the users while also not being backwards compatible making copy paste across the change next to impossible...

I’ve not seen anyone talking about moving your projects between platforms via archive/PLA, which will include all used library parts in the PLA and allow you to continue, at least in the same version of Archicad on the Mac as you were using on the PC. I wouldn’t bother trying to
migrate an existing project to a newer version of Archicad unless it is something that will continue to evolve for years to come. Finish it in the version you started in and set up a template in the newest version of Archicad for new projects.

LIBRARY. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THE FILE AND WORK.AND I NEVER LOSE LIBRARIES AND CELLS /LINE /COMPOUD CELLS ETC.
I NOW HAVE 40 YEARS OF PROJECTS AND DATA. THAT I CAN USE AND DON'T LOSE. THE UPDATE TO A NEW VERSION SOULD NOT CAUSE US TO HAVE TO REBUILD AND HAVE TO SEARCVH THRU PROJECTS FOR THE FIXTURE I USED 4 YEARS AGO

Are you shouting at us in this and your previous post, or did you just leave the caps lock on by mistake? If shouting, I'm not interested in helping you. If indeed you have this much experience, you should not need any help from any of us.

Broken Keyboard - had to replace
My concern is the libraries and cells should be migrated/updated into project by project. Or in a referenced drawing.
I am concerned now is a loss.
I had large toilet rooms from two different projects and both different projects.
It should have been a 5 min copy and paste from one project or another .
Instead they came into the new project with a DOT for each one. I should have been abbe to cut and paste.
So it was quicker to redraw it all. and something like partitions are not working in ver29
I am pointing out as I wish Graphisoft ignores it customers and competition. I am in a Revit world. You would think they would like to be competitive.
