At some point I must have hit a key command incorrectly and it caused my SUB WINDOW Display buttons to disappear... These are the MINIMIZE, MAXIMIZE and CLOSE buttons in the upper right hand corners (ms windows version) that allow you to break the secondary window (like an elevation or gdl object window) out of the main window..
I cannot for the life of me figure how to get it back...
Any assistance appreciated...!!!

I once saw this with a colleague at work...
For him, the culprit was the dark mode of Windows 11.
(Right-click on the desktop in an empty area → Customize → Colors).
The thing is that the buttons are there, but they don't stand out in color (so you can also try to blindly press the buttons at the approximate location).
I don't have this problem on Windows 10.

Have you tried entering 'Full Screen Mode' (Windows menu) and then exit it again?
Otherwise the old fall back of restart your machine.
Barry.

I assume that whatever the header bar is classified as usually inverts with dark mode, but GS decided to set a fixed colour in AC27/28... as it is not an issue in the older ACs. Or maybe I just have some other setting toggled since I cannot actually test it
