What the new Attribute Manager 😡 and its related palettes should've been in AC26…

I don't understand why GS don't integrate these simple things directly into their product,
It's like giving your wife a rose, it's simple, but it means a lot and makes her happy for months haha

Wow!! These look amazing!

You can try this simple tool for managing classifications outside archicad

So just after trying it out for a day I can conclude that having layer visibility control through a palette is as useful as anyone wishing for it anticipated and the combined folder-item tree view also makes folders useful. This must surely be one of the highest returns of development in terms of efficiency and it is really frustrating that GS didn't manage to deliver it through the attribute manager - but hey at least they agree that it is a good idea! This kind of basic functionality isn't something that should have to be handled with add-ons at additional cost for the user. I have no issue paying add-on developers for their services (and this one is a done deal) but its not like it will be discounted by GS in their pricing...

Wow, really puts GS to shame. For years we hear the lame "oh we don't have the resources for that" non-excuse while giving us tons of stuff nobody wanted or had ever asked for, and a little third-party dev comes and does all the stuff we wanted... Incredible.
But that happens when you give 90% of your budget to marketing, only to wonder why nobody is buying your product anymore.
Just one relase where we get nothing else but all of these things from bimdots would imho be the best release in 5+ years.

This might sound funny, but I feel I found a reason to update to 28......Buying all the addons by bimdots, the new ArchiquantPlus by Fermat, and 28 sounds like sending an old mercedes to Brabus to get 200hp more!
I have to admit Design Options was really a great addition. It instantly changed my workflow and the speed and control of creating several scenarios. I don't want to sound ungrateful

I haven't tested Property Visibility Manager but if this tool is really able to hide/show elements based on Properties, it means that those guys through their add-ons fixed ArchiCAD for me.

Hi @Kamil Dylo ,
From what i can see, this plug in give the possibility to hide or show some specific properties, behind a decided scenario, and not the possibility to show/hide elements based on a set of properties(I think that this type of features that touch the core of Archicad need to be done directly by Graphisoft)....any way the layer management plug-in seems fantastic, and I'll surely give a try

That 's a pity. It reminds me an idea proposed long time ago here: https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Wishes/Model-Filter-View-Option/m-p/236759#M14754.
Unfortunatelly it has never been picked up by Graphisoft.

Which begs the everlasting eternal question:-
IF a guy (or guys) doing this on their own with limited resources can come up with something like this that hits the spot for what many users have been asking........BEGGING....Graphisoft to improve in the program for years,.......
Then WHAT THE HELL IS GRAPHISOFT'S EXCUSE?
Sorry for the shouting
There's the equally annoying explanation that they (GS) know that there are third party developers putting out addons like this (and putting their own in-house development team to shame), and so therefore feel no compulsion to spend any resources actually addressing any of these kinds of wishes, issues and requests from the users.
In that way it's both a blessing and a curse that these kinds of options exist, because on the flip side it gives them an excuse to be lazy and dimissive of improving the core program - while at the same time forcing users to pay for the addons on top of the already very expensive license fee we're paying for the program to get (more) MEP/Structural/DDASCAD tools and enhancements each year.

Dear GS admin, I hope you really get on to this and the many other add ons in the near future. I mean you need to ensure that Archicad natively covers all these necessary viable add ons.
Consider having a department that covers all these necessary add ons and keeps ahead of them. The person in charge of development should be all over these like a hawk and made sure Archicad covered all of these effectively.

That's the sort of things we're actually asking for. Completely amazing. This deserves all the visibility it can get.
