Our office is deep in AI and we have over the past few month just unlocked the power of GDL with tools like claude code.
Archicad has always been a better software then whatever autodesk product. The only plausible reason to use revit was just the vastness of its libraries and the tools you could share with other users.
That has all changed. I can now with GDL make anything I want, any product, any drafting tool, anything I can think of to make my life easier, my drawings better, my model more real. It's crazy how quickly it happened. I just made in 30 min tons of hardware i never had the skill to properly make in GDL and that were never properly available because of how niche they were.
I think archicad will in the era of AI become the clear winner of architectural software. I might be wrong, but thats what it feels like.

I am just waiting for this bubble of venture capital and circular funding to pop, then to see the price of tokens explode... How long it would take for them to then come down to commodity pricing is another question. The opportunities in vibe coded / AI coded plugins and objects does indeed look promising though, on both sides of the explosion.

Yes, the AI investment bubble may pop, but the AI products will nevertheless be increasingly smarter. I think we will still have frontier models (like Claude Fable and Mythos) that may cost a lot, but the less capable models like Claude Opus and Sonnet will stay affordable yet increasingly powerful. Cost is also brought down dramatically by Chinese open-weight models.
In 12-24 months, Opus and Sonnet will be as capable as Fable and Sonnet now, while costing a fraction.
So, I think we will be able to continue to increase productivity with AI with ever-more-capable affordable models. Just think about what you could do in GDL with AI 6-12 months ago versus now. It is night and day.

So far I have developed a couple of GDL objects on different levels of complication with GPT-5.6 Sol. I must say I am impressed. I am feeding him my sketches (see screenshoot below) and sloppy instructions and he gets it 😁. It is really fun to work like this.
I am super excited about the future. Coding GDL in Archicad was indeed a bottleneck and now it seems to be gone.
