Hi Archicad Devs,
I hope youāre all doing well! I wanted to ask about the feature currently marked as āin progressā on the roadmap:
Consistent 'Show on Stories' behavior for all construction elements.
Could anyone from the development team share an update on when we might expect this feature to become available? Is there any more detail you can provide on what changes or improvements are planned for this update? I (and Iām sure many others) am really looking forward to having a more unified and flexible way to control story visibility for all element types.
Thanks so much for your hard work and for listening to user feedback! Any info or ETA would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't, only members of the Graphisoft Product Management Team have knowledge about development timelines and priorities.

While the wish you mention is in the "In Progress" category of the Roadmap, there is now a new item in the "Coming Soon" category called "Consistency: All Relevant Stories for Slab":

Hi, thanks for answering! Yes I see the slab element will get a slight upgrade, however I feel like GS has to update all elements to follow the same logic, not only slab.
Have a nice day š

Well, I guess that is why there is still an item in the "In Progress" category. š

yes, but do you have a rough estimate?

Thanks for the feedback and interest.
We are actively working on adding 'All Relevant Stories' to the Slab, and plan to release this for AC29 (I say plan because based on Beta testing, we may discover other issues).
We are also working on expanding the options for Wall, to be consistent with other tools - but this needs more time to implement and test, we plan to release the Wall options in the 2026 Archicad release.
if you have some specific feedback in this area, we can take this into consideration as we develop. Thanks.

Wait a second, so although it says uniform settings for for all "construction" elements, you guys are not actually making it for all elements, not even all construction elements?
Why just not make it uniform across the board? From morph to roof to slab to grid element, etc? Is this too complicated to implement?

Can you let us know what workflow you're missing with Morph and Roof with show on stories? Compared to other tools.
We have also been investigating other tool - but want to focus on the most used tools based on your feedback first.

For me it would make sense to have the same visibility option for every single tool/element in the design tab that's all. Morph was just a random example.
It would be great to have more control for everything. Let's say I want to see a wall on 1st floor normally and on 12th floor outline or dashed or cut for instance. The other time a beam. I miss more manual flexibility. The floor plan is symbolic anyway why not be able to control every aspect of visibility even if it does not make "projected" sense.
Thanks! ā¤ļø

"... in the 2026 Archicad release."
Interesting wording. WonĀ“t it be called Archicad 30? š¤

I don't know if you're a video gamer or a video game fan, but maybe they're going the Netherrealms Studio (The makers of the Mortal Kombat video game) route in their naming rules going forward.
Their latest Mortal Kombat game is titled Mortal Kombat 1 - ........which comes after Mortal Kombat 11, their most recent game before that.
Yes, a bit confusing, but in-universe it (kinda) makes sense, as there was a timeline re-set at the end of Mortal Kombat 11..
Likewise, Graphisoft could argue they are doing a re-set with the swtich to Subscription-only licensing and the 'Studio/Collaborate' labelling and thus the Archicad 2026 version will now be Archicad 1.0.
Since there's never really (officially or publicly) been an Archicad version 1.0, it wouldn't necessarily be inconsistent.
Although, .....maybe to stick to the whole "re-branding" deal, they might instead go with 'Archicad Studio 1.0' (or conversely, 'Archicad Collaborate 1.0')
And hey, even the negative cynics might get on board with that and argue that Archicad (Studio) 1.0 is more truth in advertising.
( .....I kid!! I kid!!)

Or maybe they will go the Adobe and Autodesk way and just call it Archicad 2027

Need it for meshes too - would make life easier knowing our exact excavation points and accurately representing live views of submerged construction.
