Absolute Student Newbie – No 3D views in Archicad 24

I have just installed the Student Version.

I have downloaded the Project file found here https://education.graphisoft.com/mod/lesson/view.php?id=256

I am able to navigate, add, modify etc in the 2d view.

I am getting stuck at lesson 3. That is, double-clicking on the Axonometry or Generic views should show 3d view. It is opening a window but it is totally blank.

I am trying to narrow down what the reason for it not to work could be.
1. Archicad licence issue (student in demo mode and not yet fully registered)
2. H/W
3. User
4. Some setting(s)
5. The project file
6. Version conflicts (see further down)

I think my H/W is sufficient but I only have a built-in GPU in the CPU. On paper, it looks as if it should be ok. Is a dedicated Graphics Card a must?

Details for my system:
Windows 10 Professional (x64) Version 2009 (build 19042.867)
3.00 gigahertz Intel Core i7-9700
512 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache
12288 kilobyte tertiary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (8 total)
Not hyper-threaded

16160 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 [Display adapter]
OpenGL Support 4.5

I am running Archicad 24 but running a system report I get following listed
GRAPHISOFT SE - ARCHICAD version 20.0.0 R1 INT (4800) (64-bit)
GRAPHISOFT SE - ARCHICAD version 24.0.0 R1 (3008) (64-bit)
GRAPHISOFT SE - BIMx Desktop Viewer version 2019.2.2328 (64-bit)

Any pointers to how to troubleshoot, things to check, etc. is very much appreciated.

Problem partially resolved.

It is only some 3D Styles that fail to produce a result e.g. Detailed Shading, White Model and a few more. Basic (Vectorial) and Technical work and possibly more work.

The issue could be caused by your lack of a dedicated graphics card.
Archicad may use one of two 3D engines in the 3D Viewpoint - the Vectorial Engine or the OpenGL Engine.
Some 3D Styles are using one, some 3D styles are using the other. The ones that are using the OpenGL Engine rely heavily on the graphics card so if you have only an integrated graphics card and no dedicated graphics card, that could cause problems. As far as I know, GRAPHISOFT does not recommend integrated graphics cards at all.
