All project previews gone after Sequoia update

Anyone else noticed this after updating to Sequoia???  This sucks big time for me.  I have/had project previews set for hundreds of files that I routinely open.  This is important for my work flow.  I am on AC26, so I can't expect Graphisoft to fix it, if that is needed.  I have not tried re-indexing the computer, but maybe that's a fix???  I tried to reset the image, but no changed.  The image is still set in the Project Preview window.

Suggestions welcome.. thanks

I’m not sure if it is linked to the same issue but you used to be able to quick preview an Archicad file (single click and spacebar) and it would bring information up about the file including the Archicad version number which was useful when running several versions of Archicad. This information is no longer available in quick view. I suspect the project preview may be linked to this.

This may also shed some light on it.

Thanks, the space bar just brings up the standard AC stock image that was there before setting the custom one. Having the rendering (in my case) set for that is really helpful since I have several hundred plans and can't remember which plan is a particular plan number, so it's a valuable short cut to make sure I am opening what I think I am.  I spent a long time getting all those set up properly.

That's the same issue for sure.  Glad to know it seems wide spread, so maybe apple will fix it sooner than later.  Does seem like an indexing issue.  Yeah, people with photos identified by the thumbnails are hurting.  Thanks

I guess it's a permanent issue, and those of us relying on the preview icon are screwed. I have no intention to upgrade AC versions with all the mess (money) involved.  It seems GS was told to make a change and had not for AC26.  Seems they could have.  This is from  Affinity forum>>>

From 2019, with the release of macOS Catalina (10.15), Apple introduced the new Quick Look Preview and Thumbnail Extensions, encouraging developers to migrate from the older Quick Look Generator plugins. This marked the start of a transitional phase where the legacy API was deprecated, but not yet removed, giving developers time to adapt their applications to the new framework.

However, the formal announcement that the old Quick Look Generator plugins would be fully removed came in June 2024 during WWDC, when Apple unveiled macOS 15 Sequoia. This gave developers a clear deadline, as they were informed that starting with macOS Sequoia, which was released in September 2024, the deprecated Quick Look plugins would no longer function.

In summary, developers have had a window of approximately five years from the introduction of the new APIs in 2019 to the confirmed removal of the old plugins in 2024. However, the final notice of their complete removal was only officially communicated around three months before macOS Sequoia’s release.
